| Sydney Harbour Wild owns and operates a 6.1m Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat built by Crusader Inflatables in South Africa. The vessel is in NSW Class 2C Survey, which allows it to operate up to 5 miles offshore, carrying fare-paying passengers. The vessel is named "Investigator" reflecting the nature of our tours and of course the curious minds of our customers! It also commemorates Lieutenant Matthew Flinders’ vessel of the same name. |

There are three rows of forward facing, comfortably upholstered seats. We limit passenger numbers to eight.The helmsman’s position is at the stern which ensures all passengers are under his constant supervision. Investigator is equipped with twin 70hp outboards for offshore reliability and safety.The navigation and communications equipment includes GPS, Depth Sounder, Magnetic Compass, VHF and 27MHz radios as well as a mobile phone. As part of its acceptance into survey "Investigator" had to remain afloat with the deck a specified height above the water in the fully loaded condition with the tubes deflated. |
